I am Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China at Dell Technologies, based in Singapore. Most of my working life is spent in rooms where enterprise technology decisions get made — and in the quieter rooms afterwards, where people find out which of those decisions were load-bearing.
That vantage point is the reason this site exists. Very little of what I write comes from reading the same public sources as everyone else. It comes from watching the same pattern repeat across manufacturing, healthcare, banking, retail and automotive, in a dozen markets that are usually discussed as though they were one.
What I write about
The gap between what looks like progress and what actually holds. Pilots that succeed and never reach production. Organisations that discover what was critical only during the crisis that breaks it. Leadership judgement that cannot be delegated to a dashboard. The work spans enterprise infrastructure, artificial intelligence, organisational resilience and the craft of technology leadership itself — and I borrow from quantum computing, psychology and philosophy when the argument is genuinely stronger for it.
I write a newsletter, Transformative Tech Leadership, and I am working on two books: The Token Trap, for CIOs and CDOs, and The Load-Bearing Core, for boards.
